Endeavor: what it is and what it signals
Endeavor selects and supports high-growth founders. A company appears on its public list because its founder was chosen as an Endeavor Entrepreneur through a selection process that ends at an international panel. The criteria are about scale and growth potential, so the label reads as a judgement on a business trajectory rather than on social or environmental impact.

What Endeavor is
Endeavor describes itself as a global network of trust of, by and for entrepreneurs, and says it selects, supports and invests in founders with significant potential. Selection attaches to the founder; the company is listed because its founder holds the status.
Alongside the network, Endeavor runs Endeavor Catalyst, which it describes as a rules-based co-investment fund. Selected entrepreneurs can take passive co-investment through it without additional terms or diligence. Endeavor also names a top tier within its own community, the Endeavor Outliers, described as the top Endeavor Entrepreneurs leading a company through extraordinary and consistent growth.
Who runs it and since when
The organization is Endeavor Global, Inc., which publishes its 990 return, an audit and its IRS form 1023 on a public financials page, indicating a United States nonprofit structure. Endeavor states that it has been selecting, supporting and investing in founders since 1997.
It operates through local offices in individual markets, alongside a global team and global board, with local boards and a mentor community listed separately. Its 2025 report records more than 3,100 Endeavor Entrepreneurs and 2,100 companies, and describes recent additions including a new office in New Zealand and a global hub in the United Arab Emirates.
How an organization gets it
Endeavor publishes three eligibility criteria. On stage of growth, it says most entrepreneurs in its selection process have between 500 thousand and 10 million United States dollars in annual revenue, and that the average three-year compound annual growth rate for Endeavor Entrepreneurs is above 100 per cent. On business model, it looks for unique, scalable, innovative and potentially disruptive models. On geography, the company's main operations or headquarters must be based in an Endeavor market.
The process starts with Endeavor identifying fast-growing founders and inviting them into what it calls its international selection process. That process includes curated one-to-one mentorship sessions covering business strategy alongside growth and leadership potential. It ends at an International Selection Panel, where global business leaders spend time with candidates and deliberate on who becomes an Endeavor Entrepreneur. Selected founders then get a dedicated point person, peer networks, mentorship, executive education and coaching. Endeavor publishes no application fee.
What it signals, and what it does not
Selection is a credible growth signal. Someone outside the company looked at the business closely enough to put it in front of a panel, and the published thresholds mean a selected company was very likely generating real revenue and growing fast at that moment.
It is not an impact assessment. Nothing in the published criteria measures environmental performance, labour practice, governance or benefit to a community; the tests are scale, growth rate and business model. It is also a point-in-time judgement: the selection year is recorded, and a company selected several years ago may since have stalled, pivoted or been acquired. Because eligibility is tied to Endeavor's own market list, absence from the list often means no local office rather than any judgement on the company. An Endeavor Catalyst investment is a position taken under fund rules, not a rating.
How to verify a claim
Search the public directory of entrepreneur companies. A record names the business and its founders, gives the year it was selected, the region and the local Endeavor office, and the industry sectors, and where Endeavor Catalyst has invested it shows the round and the year. The directory can also be filtered by region and by the current year's Outliers.
Read the selection year first, because the claim is only ever about that moment. If the directory has no record, treat the claim as unsupported and ask which local office and which selection year are meant; that pair is easy to check. Note also that the status belongs to a founder, so a claim can be technically accurate about a person while the company being described is a later venture that Endeavor never selected.
